A Campus in Miniature
When the University of Jordan needed a comprehensive campus model for their new master plan presentation, they turned to Printie 3D's architectural modeling service.
The Challenge
The project required modeling the entire campus — over 50 buildings, landscaping, roads, and planned expansions — at a scale that showed both the overall layout and individual building details.
Our Approach
We used a combination of FDM printing for larger structural elements and resin printing for detailed facades and landscaping features. The modular design allowed for easy assembly and future updates.
Technical Details
The final model measured 2.4m × 1.8m at 1:500 scale. Each building was printed separately and could be removed to show interior floor plans. Color-coded elements distinguished existing structures from planned developments.
Impact
The model became a centerpiece for the university's planning presentations and has been used in multiple stakeholder meetings. It continues to be updated as the campus development progresses.
