Jordan's Green Initiative: Sustainable 3D Printing

Sustainability in Additive Manufacturing

As Jordan pursues its sustainability goals, the 3D printing industry is playing a surprising role in the kingdom's green transition.

Reduced Waste Manufacturing

Unlike subtractive manufacturing, which can waste up to 90% of raw material, 3D printing is inherently more efficient. FDM printing typically uses only the material needed for the part plus minimal support structures.

Recyclable Materials

New PLA and PETG filaments made from recycled materials are becoming commercially available. Several Jordanian workshops are now using recycled filament for prototyping, reducing both cost and environmental impact.

Local Production

By enabling local production, 3D printing reduces the carbon footprint associated with shipping manufactured goods. Parts that once had to be imported can now be produced locally in Amman.

The Road Ahead

Printie 3D is committed to sustainable practices and continues to explore eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient printing processes for our full range of services.
